Go4Ride (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Go4Ride Rider mobile application (the “App”) and related services that connect riders with independent drivers. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the Rider App, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly and information generated when you use the App.
- Account information: mobile phone number (used for one-time password login), name, email address (if provided), profile photo (if uploaded), and referral code usage.
- Ride and booking information: pickup and drop-off addresses and coordinates, selected ride type, fare quotes, trip status, route information, ride history, ratings you provide, and cancellation details.
- Location information: precise GPS location when you search for rides, set pickup or drop-off points, track an active trip, or when the App requests location permission on your device.
- Saved places: addresses you choose to save for faster booking (up to 10 saved addresses per account).
- Wallet and promotions: wallet balance, promo code redemptions, referral activity, and related transaction history within the App.
- Device and technical data: push notification token (FCM), device platform (iOS or Android), app version, and authentication tokens used to keep you signed in securely.
- Communications: messages or requests you send to our support team and records needed to deliver SMS one-time passwords.
- Settings preferences: notification preferences and language settings stored with your account.
We do not collect payment card numbers directly in the current version of the Rider App unless a future payment feature is explicitly disclosed in the App and in an updated version of this policy.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Create and manage your rider account and authenticate you via OTP.
- Provide ride booking, matching, live trip updates, and trip history.
- Calculate fares, show ETAs, and display maps and routes.
- Send ride status updates, receipts, and promotional messages you opt into.
- Apply wallet credits, promo codes, and referral rewards.
- Improve safety, troubleshoot issues, prevent fraud, and enforce our terms.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in these cases:
- With drivers: when you request a ride, we share information needed to complete the trip, such as your first name, pickup and drop-off details, and live trip status.

operate the App, including:
- SMS providers (such as Twilio or MSG91) to deliver login codes
- Google Maps Platform for geocoding, directions, distance, and ETA
- Cloud hosting (Render) and database infrastructure
- Push notification delivery services
- Legal and safety: when required by law, to protect users, investigate safety incidents, or prevent fraud and abuse.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection of your information.
5. Location data
The Rider App needs location access to show your position on the map, find nearby drivers, set pickup and drop-off points, and provide live trip tracking. You can control location permissions in your device settings. Some features may not work without location access.
We collect location only when needed for the App to function — for example, while you are searching for a ride or during an active trip — and not for unrelated advertising tracking.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal requirements. Trip records may be retained for safety, accounting, and regulatory purposes after a ride is completed.
OTP verification records and short-lived technical logs are retained only for the limited period needed for security and rate limiting.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or update your profile information in the App.
- Opt out of promotional notifications in App settings.
- Disable location or notification permissions on your device.
- Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed OTP codes, and access controls on our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The Rider App is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the App or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
