1. Introduction
Go4Ride (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Go4Ride Driver mobile application (the “App”) for independent drivers who accept ride requests from riders on the Go4Ride platform. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect from drivers, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By registering as a driver or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Driver App.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide and information generated when you use the Driver App.
- Account information: mobile phone number (OTP login), name, profile details, and authentication tokens.
- Identity and onboarding (KYC) information: government-issued driver’s license, vehicle registration certificate, insurance document, profile photo, face verification image, and related review status. These files are uploaded through the App during onboarding.
- Vehicle information: vehicle type, make, model, year, color, license plate, vehicle photos, and assigned city or service area.
- Location information: precise GPS location while you are online, accepting rides, navigating to pickup, or completing an active trip.
- Ride and earnings information: accepted and completed trips, pickup and drop-off details shared for assigned rides, fares, trip timestamps, ratings received from riders, and wallet or payout-related records within the App.
- Device and technical data: push notification token (FCM), device platform, app version, and session tokens.
- Communications: support requests and records needed to deliver SMS one-time passwords.
3. How we use your information
We use driver personal information to:
- Verify your identity and eligibility to drive on the platform.
- Review onboarding documents and approve or reject driver applications.
- Match you with nearby ride requests and provide navigation support.
- Share necessary trip details with assigned riders.
- Calculate earnings, display trip history, and manage wallet balances.
- Send trip alerts, account updates, and safety-related notifications.
- Maintain platform safety, investigate incidents, and prevent fraud.
- Comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in these cases:
- With riders: when you accept a ride, we share information needed to complete the trip, such as your first name, vehicle details, photo (if provided), live location during the trip, and estimated arrival time.
-
Service providers: trusted vendors that help us
operate the platform, including:
- SMS providers (such as Twilio or MSG91) for login codes
- Google Maps Platform for routing, distance, and ETA
- Amazon Web Services (S3) for secure storage of uploaded KYC documents
- Cloud hosting (Render) and database infrastructure
- Push notification delivery services
- Internal review: authorized Go4Ride administrators who review KYC submissions and manage driver accounts.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect riders, drivers, and the public.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection of your information.
5. Location data
The Driver App collects your location when you go online, receive ride requests, navigate to riders, and during active trips. Location is essential for matching, safety, and accurate ETAs. You can stop location sharing by going offline or disabling location permissions in your device settings, but you will not be able to accept rides while offline.
6. Identity verification documents
To operate safely, we require drivers to upload identity and vehicle documents before going online. These documents are stored securely in AWS S3 and are accessible only to authorized systems and personnel for verification, compliance, and safety purposes.
If your application is rejected, we retain records as needed to prevent misuse and to allow you to resubmit corrected documents. You may request deletion of your account and associated documents subject to legal retention requirements.
7. Data retention
We retain driver account information, KYC documents, and trip records for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, meet regulatory obligations, and maintain safety records. Short-lived logs (such as OTP verification data) are kept only for the limited period required for security.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access and update your profile and vehicle information in the App.
- Control notification and location permissions on your device.
- Request a copy of your personal data.
- Request deletion of your driver account and associated data.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise these rights, email irobo370@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity. Some information may be retained where required for legal, tax, or safety reasons.
9. Security
We protect driver information using encryption in transit (HTTPS), secure cloud storage for documents, hashed OTP codes, and access controls limited to authorized personnel and systems. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Eligibility
The Driver App is only for individuals who meet the legal driving age and licensing requirements in their jurisdiction and who pass our onboarding review. We do not knowingly collect information from ineligible individuals.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the App. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
